Feb 16, 2016 Many thanks to MAD Maps founder Jenny Lefferts, who is organizing the ride’s Grand Finale event in San Francisco. Here’s a little background information about Jenny and why you should get your own Mad Maps!
“If you’re just plain looking for the fastest way from A to B, forget it. We’re all about finding the most scenic route with the most unusual and unique attractions. From rock ‘n’ roll roadhouses to rubber band museums, we’ve scouted the stuff that makes getting there so much fun. And with almost 1,000 trips around this great country, you’ll never run out of places to explore.” – MadMaps.com
Jenny has been a motorcycle and back roads enthusiast for years, but her passion for travel began long before she was licensed to ride. Her dad’s idea of a summer vacation was to load up the family in the ’72 VW bus and take to the road. Jenny purchased her first motorcycle after moving to San Francisco in 1987 and was instantly hooked. She began searching the Bay Area for the best scenic roads, thus planting the seed for MAD Maps, a creator and publisher of scenic trip content for road maps, and a company all about finding the most scenic routes with the most unusual attractions, boasting a catalog of almost 1,000 trips in the U.S.
MAD Maps has a comprehensive offering of traditional print maps, along with mobile apps for iPhone and Android platforms, featuring handpicked routes scouted by locals.
Their products are available online and through various sales distribution channels throughout the U.S. http://madmaps.net/
