Diamond Bar, Calif. (April 26, 2016) – iMobileApp Partners with Sisters’ Centennial Motorcycle Ride to Develop Mobile Event App
iMobileApp has partnered and developed a mobile application for the Sisters’ Centennial Motorcycle Ride that will keep event registrants and interested parties informed with up-to-the-minute event times, venue locations, points of interest, social sharing functions and more. Designed as the one-stop source of information for participants, followers and their families, it is a must-have app for all registered participants.
“When iMobileApp approached us about developing an app for the Sisters’ Ride I was thrilled,” said event organizer, Alisa Clickenger. “Organizing an event of this magnitude and getting the information to the right people at the right time seemed like a daunting task to me. Enter iMobileApp’s solution, where we can have ‘Sister’s Ride Central’ with all of our information for riders, staff, journalists and clubs who come out to greet us. This is a huge advancement for us, as we are now able to have one single place for folks to refer to for last-minute time and venue changes as well as ride updates.”
Anthony Havens, President of iMobileApp’s parent company, said, “Our heritage is in the powersports industry so when we heard about this event we were immediately interested. Being the largest provider of mobile app technology to motorcycle dealers in the United States, as well as having developed mobile applications for special events in the past, we knew that we could build a mobile application for the Sisters’ Centennial Ride that would benefit and support the ride coordinators and ride participants, as well as event followers. We are very pleased to donate our product and services to this landmark event.”
Scheduled July 3-23, 2016, the AMA-sanctioned event is a cross-country motorcycle ride for women commemorating the 100th anniversary of Adeline and Augusta Van Buren’s historic ride across the United States from New York to San Francisco. The event will conclude with a group ride in to San Francisco on July 23, 2016, where festivities will celebrate the event completion and riders’ accomplishments.
“This was a phenomenal accomplishment by two courageous women at a time when few roads were paved, post-Victorian attitudes were in full flare and women did not yet have the right to vote,” said Clickenger. “This ride is intended to honor their achievement and promote the growth of today’s female motorcyclists and the motorcycling community.”
Women have several options for participation, including a fully supported tour, as well as self-guided tours of the entire route or individual segments. Registration is open on the event website at www.SistersMotorcycleRide.com.
